Characters That C.A.N.™

Let's empower kids to use characters and storytelling to advocate for something they care about.

Characters That C.A.N.™ is a 12-week literacy and creative mentorship program that empowers young people to explore issues they care about through character development, research, and storytelling. Students collaborate with artist mentors to transform their ideas into professionally produced books and share their work with their communities.

Whether you're an illustrator looking to mentor a young creator or a provider interested in literacy enrichments to your students, we'd love to partner with you!
